Journey with McKenna Group
This is our support and networking group for parents of children with special needs. It is a place to share information and resources, find/give support, and raise awareness. This group is open to all parents, not just those whose kids are receiving services at McKenna Farms. We have monthly meetups as well as regular workshops, all free to attend. Meet Amy Pitts, our Client Resource Manager!

My name is Amy Pitts. I am the Client Resource Manager here at McKenna Farms. I received my Masters in Special Education and years later had my son. He was born with various midline defects, including a heart condition, kidney condition, a cleft palate, feeding difficulties and hypotonia. Before ever moving to Georgia from South Carolina, I found McKenna Farms, and my son has been in therapy here ever since. I have worked here since 2015 and have made so many amazing connections. I am not able to give legal advice, however I can tell you what I would do in most situations. I am just a mom of a child that has special needs. I have learned lots along the way and would like to help you too! Some of the things I can help you with include:

- Identification if your child's Medicaid is the most comprehensive for their situation
- Support in applying for Katie Beckett Medicaid
- Support in applying for Family Support Services
- Support in applying for the NOW/COMP waiver
- Support in finding a sports program
- Support in finding a physician
- Support navigating the school systems
