What is McKenna Farms Therapy Services?

McKenna Farms is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization located on a 30 acre farm, committed to providing innovative therapeutic services for children and young adults with special needs. We serve clients with all ranges of ability. The farm offers occupational, speech, and physical therapy.


What should I wear?

BOOTS ARE RECOMMENDED, the event occurs in a covered riding arena with a dirt floor. Typical Derby Day attire applies, women can wear spring dresses with a festive hat to enter our hat contest, and men wear everything from seersucker suits to cowboy attire, paired with a fedora, Derby hat, etc.


What is included with the price of my ticket?

Your ticket includes a BBQ dinner and nonalcoholic drinks, as well as live entertainment.

Alcoholic drinks may be purchased separately at our full bar. All proceeds benefit McKenna Farm’s therapy programs for children with special needs.

 

Are cash and credit cards accepted at the event?

Yes! Both cash and credit cards are accepted.

 

Are children allowed to attend?

This is an adult event. Be aware that alcohol will be sold and games and activities are geared towards adults. You do not need to be over 21, but children are not encouraged to attend. There are no reduced price tickets for children.

 

Do I need to bring my ticket with me for entry?

Physical tickets are not required at the event. Your name will be on our guest list when you arrive at the check-in table.


Will I have a reserved seat?

There is open seating at the event. The only spots reserved are for those who have purchased a table. We encourage individual ticket holders to arrive between 4:30PM-5:00PM to pick your best seats!


Does the program start at 4:30 p.m.?

No. Registration opens at 4:30pm. At this time, we’ll have various activities available including visiting the barn, the silent auction, wine toss, photo booth, live music, and the cash bar. Dinner and program begin shortly after 5pm.


What happens if it rains?

Derby Day is rain or shine. Most of the event takes place inside our covered, indoor arena.
