Therapeutic Riding

Therapeutic Riding
Therapeutic riding is an equine-assisted activity for the purpose of contributing positively to the cognitive, physical, emotional and social well-being of individuals with special needs. Therapeutic riding provides benefits in the areas of health, education, sport and recreation & leisure.

This service is designed to teach individuals with physical, cognitive or emotional challenges the skills necessary to ride a horse, as well as the skills necessary to appropriately groom, tack and care for an equine. Therapeutic riding lessons are taught by PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors with extensive equine backgrounds as well as an understanding of many different disabilities. All of our lesson plans are focused on encouraging independence and responsibility in and around equines. We offer services to children (ages 4 & older) as well as adults with disabilities of all types.
