New!  Aquatic Center Project

Dear Friends,

We want to share some exciting news with you! McKenna Farms is launching a campaign to build an on-site pool!

An aquatic center would allow us to offer physical, occupational, and speech therapies in a pool environment, using the benefits of water to elicit physical capabilities that wouldn’t be possible otherwise. While we have offered aquatic therapy in the past, it has been very limited because only some of our therapists and families can travel to the community aquatic center. Also, the community pool environment is not conducive for therapy.

Our new indoor pool is being specifically designed so that it is handicapped accessible, saltwater instead of chlorine, and the temperature and acoustics are beneficial to kids with sensory issues.

In addition to therapy services, a pool would allow us to offer swim safety lessons for kids with special needs and even create a swim team to compete in the Special Olympics!

As we kick off this ambitious fundraising project, we need your support. Please share our campaign with your friends and family, and show your support by making a donation at https://www.gagivesday.org/c/GGD/a/mckennafarms

Every gift helps us get closer to our goal!

Past Events:

Barn Dance !

Derby Day at the Farm 2018!

Thanks to all our campers that participated!

SaddleUp is a unique experience that brings children with and without disabilities together and offers a chance to participate in horseback riding and
equine-related activities in a safe and fun environment!

Riders will have the opportunity to build
relationships, learn, play and share experiences, regardless of abilities.

All equestrian camps are led by a PATH-certified Riding Instructor and utilizes a 1:1 rider/volunter ratio to provide each rider with individualized attention.

Riders will learn about horsemanship both on the ground and in the saddle as well as various aspects of horse care and building relationships while exploring the farm.

There will be two lessons per day, weather permitting.

Riders will have access to our indoor and outdoor arenas, wooded trails and the creek.

Riders can choose between riding English or Western disciplines, or they can try them both!On the last day of camp riders will be able to showcase their newly acquired
horsemanship skills for family and friends as they take part in the McKenna Farms Horse Show!
